B- Defensive LineWhere did the run defense go This is what I expected it to look like when we first lost Aaron Smith, but we wait until crunch time to shit the bed when it comes to stopping the run I don't know if the Ravens just dominated us in the trenches or what, but I was alot happier with the efforts of Eason/Hood on the line as opposed to Kirschke. Who knows though, maybe the same thing would have happened without Kirschke in the game This is the worst the line has played this year It all starts with their push and it just wasn't there. D LinebackersAgain, the linebackers are the strength of this team. We go as far as they take us and this week they took us right into another loss.
Why would Farrior be expected to cover Ray Rice in single coverage in regulation and in overtime. He's 72 years old and he got worked like he was 172 years old. He's too slow and no good for coverage what was Lebeau thinking To his credit, Farrior did record six tackles and had a huge sack on the last play of regulation.Timmons was all over the field and he recorded two sacks and forced a huge fumble. Harrison added four tackles, but played much stronger then that containing the whole right side of the field Woodley added seven solos and a sack. He continues to get beat to the sideline though and I feel like I could shake him he's giving up big plays in open space by failing to make the tackles Ultimately, this leads to losses. Whether it was William Gay getting used all game, or Ike Taylor not being able to keep up with Derrick Mason who is one of the slowest guys he faces all season. He was flagged for it at the end of the 4th quarter and it nearly cost us the game.William Gay also struggled in coverage but did punch a ball lose during regulation which was recovered by the Steelers.
