We no longer had to watch that incredibly long list of quarterbacks who have played for us the past 15 years every time we play the Packers. That list includes winners such as Chad Huchinson and Henry Burris We had our QB, and we couldn't be happier At least until "U" came into play.... To be fair, no one could have really lived up to the expectations that the city had for Cutler. But come on! Four picks! We traded away two first-rounders for a guy who threw four picks! Mind you, it wasn't all his fault; it's not like he was throwing to Brandon Marshall or Eddie Royal like he was last year, but even Rex Grossman thought that Cutler had a bad game.At this point, we could only hope that this was a one game anomaly and not a sign of things to come. And then "T" started to happen... Cutler began to start openly yelling at teammates. After every incompletion, Cutler would be kind enough to let the receiver know it was his fault he didn't catch it.Once again, he isn't throwing to the best receivers in the league, but you could slowly start to see the them getting frustrated with him. Early in the season, Cutler would be visibly angry and show emotion on the field.
As the season progressed, he slowly started to look more and more confused. After every pick, he would stare at the JumboTron with a confused look on his face. I think he learned this from Lovie Smith, who is the king of looking confused after a play doesn't go our way. But still, I would rather have a QB who shows some emotion than one who doesn't seem to care This lack of caring leads to "E".... As the season unfolded, I slowly started to realize that we weren't going to make the playoffs. This realization was finalized with the five-pick game against the 'Niners It was a painful reality We are a worse football team than we were a year ago It hurts even typing it right now.

But, in the meantime, we as a city are left with nothing but anger for a QB we once loved.. Bobby Bowden will not return to coach at Florida State next year. Some will say that he was unfairly run out of town. Others loyal to Bowden may even offer the excuse that Bowden is owed more respect than what he was given. These people seem to be immune to reality. For those of us who are able to fully grasp reality it is plain to see the cold hard facts. It was overdue. That being said, I personally have a load of respect for Bobby. Growing up I saw his program reach the peak and continue to play at an unmatched level for a number of years. On the other hand I also witnessed a coach who built a plane from the ground up, miss the runway and crash it into the ground. Bowden's goal transformed from winning National Championships for his team, to capturing records for himself. Everyone who watches college football knows what Bowden was after. The record he could not catch held by the man he could not touch. JoePa's record of most victories by a FBS coach. I brought this argument up to a buddy of mine and he posed a question to me. With me being a USF fan he asked me how I would feel if Jim Leavitt built USF's program up to the stature of Florida State's and then lost his touch. Would I call for the firing of him and run him out of town I simply answered Leavitt would have enough respect for his program to hand the controls to the co-pilot before the plane tragically crashed. And that sums up the story, tragic. Nobody has won, and nobody is happy. The plane has crashed and all respect has been lost. . Over the years, mascots have evolved tremendously, and their significance has been debated since their conception From Mr. Red to the Klement's Racing Sausages, the mascot has always been a vital part of the sports experience. This list will examine and rank the cream of the crop, the 10 best active mascots in Major League Baseball. I could not live with myself if I did not include Wally.
Although he has only been rallying fans for 13 seasons, he has stolen the hearts of the Fenway faithful. I hope that Wally will inspire the "traditional teams," such as the Cubs and the Yanks, to adopt the age-old concept of the mascot. I don't know what it is that makes Dinger so great He simply radiates fun. Plus, his face is unforgettable, the perfect face for a franchise that, over the past few seasons, has never quit, even with the chips stacked against them. Come on Look at that face. It is impossible to exclude the Swinging Friar from this list. He has been the Padres' mascot for over a half century, and I pray that he will continue to be the image of this unfortunate team for a long, long time.. One of the most recognizable mascots in all of sports, Fredbird of the St Louis Cardinals is my No 7 He has been the St. Louis mascot since 1979, and he is a staple around the community His trademark move is "beaking" fans.
