It isnt easy to sustain a brand for what, like, 170 years You dont last that long solely on chumps buying adapters and batteries from geeky, pimple-faced idiots. They were selling cheap electronic crap before there was electricity No, someone with a brain is behind it all. Unless theres just been a revolving door of incompetent CEOs driving the brand deeper into the ground while sucker shareholders think Maybe this one will turn it around. What Oh... Krumpton, who until recently served as Chair for the Desperate Organization of Laggards Trying to Survive (DOLTS), oversaw the merger of his organization with FLOPS earlier in the year. By combining the forces of FLOPS and DOLTS, we will create new and exciting ways for consumers to find relevance in our brands. Either that, or well live forever in infamy on YouTube for running pathetic and tasteless commercials that flushed the last of our money and sent us into bankruptcy Again. That, and forcing otherwise respected and proud athletes to act as shills for our worthless dreck. At the very least, we hope to end up with some cool cycling gear we can probably sell on eBay..
BY MICHAEL GANCI EDITORLast night, when I shared with my dad the news about the Mets bringing Chris Coste aboard, he said something that made me a bit nauseous. He said, “I know why they signed Coste. In case they don’t sign Bengie Molina, he is going to be paired up with Omir Santos next season.”I very much disagree with that sentiment. He was brought on for depth, and that should be all.Coste was a nice player once, but there’s a reason why the Phillies designated him for assignment and the Astros didn’t play him much. His bat has quickly declined, and his glove is nothing to brag about. He is this year’s Robinson Cancel.I don’t expect him to be a major contributor, although it wouldn’t surprise me to see him get some time with the big club. The Mets might be comfortable carrying three catchers, so that’s where Coste might get the shot.

The Mets are going to continue their pursuit of a catcher with some offensive ability. We have been spoiled over the years with guys like Gary Carter, Mike Piazza, Todd Hundley, and Paul LoDuca, and the Mets need someone who has a little bit of punch with the bat. Expect the names Molina, Kelly Shoppach, Chris Snyder, Ryan Doumit, and others to be discussed.I cannot wait until the winter meetings start Last year, the Mets signed K-Rod and traded for J.J. Putz and Sean Green at the meetings, and all indications are that Omar Minaya will be aggressive again.Only time will tell. This article is also featured on The Daily Stache. Well, the Steelers have just lost the past 3 games, by a total of 12 points.A six point loss to the Bengals, 3 to the Chiefs in OT and 3 to the Ravens in OT.And with this latest loss, the Steelers have now dropped out of the final Wild Card spot and are looking up at the Jaguars, Ravens, and Broncos. With five games to play, the Steelers are going to have to step it up and win out.It is going to be tough with games against Green Bay and the Ravens. The Raiders and Browns are games that should be wins and the Miami game will be tough. This week against the Raiders will begin the "playoffs" for the Steelers, as you have to think that a loss and the season will be over.11-5 should be good enough to get the final wildcard position as the Jags, Steelers, and Ravens are at 6-5.The December 27 game against Baltimore will really put one of the two teams out of the race. But Sunday night was a decent showing for the Steelers with Dennis Dixon at the helm.Third String QB vs a nasty defense in Baltimore. This could not be good for the Steelers.Opening drive, 3 and out for the Steelers. Then Baltimore moves down field and scores easily. This was not looking good but the Steelers clamped down on Defense and ended up getting a TD pass from Dixon to Holmes.Alright, Dixon is looking better now.But before the half, the Steelers allowed another TD.The Steelers really needed to allow Dixon to have more flexibility. They should have used his speed to our advantage and allowed him to run a little more.He only ran 2 times, and one was a 31 yard dash negated by a penalty. He did get a TD on the ground in the 4th quarter but again, allowed the Ravens to go downfield and tied it up.Going into OT, I liked the Steelers chances, but we went back to a conservative game plan for Dixon.Allow the man to throw more instead of just running first and second and then a pass on third. The Ravens did a great job of blitzing and forcing Dixon to throw the ball quickly and this ended up leading to his only interception of the game, but it happened in OT and was returned inside the 30.Well, this set up the game winning field goal. While it was a loss, the Steelers did better than I expected with Dixon being the QB.Now, there are reports of separation in the locker room with players saying that Ben should have played. Can't complain if it is true.Ben wanted to play, but Tomlin did the right thing and thought of the health of his player.Plus he felt they could win without Ben in there.Game BallsSteelers - Dixon, Harrison, Timmons, and Woodley.Dixon played a good game, better than I expected and threw a TD pass and scored on the ground.Harrison, Timmons, and woodley just played great on Defense, in fact, the D line played great too.The secondary was a weak point.Ravens - Cundiff for the Field Goal to win the game.Flacco for 2 TD Passes. and Paul Kruger for the interception that led to the game winning field goal in OT.Ray Rice also gets a mention here for his 4th down run late in the 4th to tie the game, but I don't give him a game ball.Congrats to the Ravens for taking control of the Wild Card for the moment.
